My ball bounce animation is a direct reference to the game "My Singing Monsters", a mobile game created by Canadian game developing company Big Blue Bubble. The two characters shown in the short clip are refered to as Thumpies, which are mischievous monsters that specialize in bouncing. I chose to reference this game as it is currently one of my favorite games and franchises. The innate nature of the bouncing creatures made them a perfect candidate to be turned into an animation of a bouncing ball, but with a twist.
